EN1656:2019 and EN1657:2016 Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal or yeasticidal activity

EN1656:2019 and EN1657:2016 Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal or yeasticidal activity

Nowadays participant’s SHAPYPRO are performing EN 1656 and EN 1657 Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal or yeasticidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in the veterinary area.

The proficiency testing programme described is intended to determine technical competence of the participants by comparing the results obtained at the chosen concentration (phase I) and final result at the imposed concentrations (phase II).

These standards related to products that are used for equipment disinfection by immersion, surface disinfection by wiping, spraying, flooding or other means and teat disinfection in the veterinary area – e.g., in the breeding, husbandry, production, veterinary care facilities, transport and disposal of all animals except when in the food chain following death and entry into processing industry. These standards also apply to products used for teat disinfection in these veterinary areas.
